Ed Calderon

Ed Calderon is a cartel expert, security consultant and combatives instructor. A native of Tijuana, he spent more than a decade working in counter-narcotics, organized crime investigation and public safety in the northern border region of Mexico, and coordinated executive protection details for government officials and visiting dignitaries. Now based in the United States, he travels North America running seminars and private courses in anti-abduction, escapology, unarmed combat and region-specific executive protection, and he has trained members of the FBI, BORTAC and other law enforcement and special operations units. He hosts the Manifesto Radio podcast and publishes at Ed’s Manifesto.

He is a recurring guest on the Julian Dorey Podcast. Across his appearances he has covered how he was approached to work for a cartel, covert US operations in Mexico, the CJNG and El Mencho, the Sinaloa cartel’s American origins, mass graves and Mexico’s thousands of missing people, and the occult practices around cartel violence.
